Kaylin Metchie

Kaylin is a 3rd year theatre performance student and a fifth year communications student. She loves being a part of this amazing young artist community. She is excited to be a part of the TSU and hopes to expand the responsibilities of VP Internal.

 President


The President is the primary liaison with the School for the Contemporary Arts as a representative of the Union. The President is responsible for keeping tabs on all the Vice President (VP) positions and ensuring that they are keeping up with the tasks assigned to them. Any concerns between Vice Presidents should be resolved through the President. In the event that a VP is absent for a period of time or fails to fulfill their mandate, the President will intervene in relief.

Elysse Cheadle

 VP Internal


VP Internal acts as Secretary at Union meetings, recording the minutes. VP Internal is responsible for ensuring that the minutes are made available for viewing on the Internet, and shall check the mailbox every two weeks. This position involves maintaining the website and social networking outlets. VP Internal shall relieve the President in the event that the President must abandon his or her position.

Chantal Vaage

Chantal is taking the plunge into her third year as a  performance major. She can usually be found in the common room, unable to stay away from SFU Woodwards. She enjoys reading, crazy adventures and showing off her splits to anyone who asks.

 VP Finance

VP Finance keeps track of the budget and finances of the Union. Using a spreadsheet or accounting software program, all transactions should be recorded and balances should be checked each month with the SFSS records for validity. VP Finance will report the current balance to the executive at every second Union meeting.

Conor Wylie

Conor has been around for a while. He digs creation-based theatre and art, fruit-themed events, and unsanctioned Contemporary Arts slumber parties.

 VP External


VP External is the liaison for all contacts outside of the School for the Contemporary Arts: including but not limited to alumni and external theatre companies, casting directors, agencies, and production management companies. VP External shall be the primary individual responsible for negotiating speakers, organizing workshops, and ensuring that external agencies looking for performers and technicians have access to Union members.

 Davey Calderon

 VP Publication


VP Publication will liaise with the Peak and other publications to provide background information and contacts for potential interviewees regarding upcoming SFU productions: directing projects, Black Box, and main stage. Additionally, VP Publications will investigate all opportunities related to printed and publicized media:
• Updating the TSU board with current productions in the area


_Deneh Thompson

Deneh is a transfer student in the second-year performance ensemble. Excited to be involved in bettering the communities around him, Deneh would like to find ways to encourage us all to make our everyday experience more enjoyable and productive.

 VP Academic


The VP Academic is responsibility for being the ombudsperson for student curriculum concerns and for liaising with the faculty regarding course issues. The VP Academic will attend all School for Contemporary Arts faculty meetings (one each month) and provide a feedback report to the executive at the following Union meeting.

Manuela Sosa

Manuela is in her 6th year at SFU completing a double major in French and Theatre Performance. She enjoys life and all of its adventures. Most often you can find her hanging outside the theatre studios singing incessantly, or eating something delicious.

 VP Social


VP Social is responsible for handling the planning and execution of social events for Union members. Each term, the VP Social should plan at minimum one social event on behalf of the Union, which may or may not include a Main Stage Gala. In advance of the event, the executive should be presented with a forecast of revenues and expenses of the event from VP Social to ensure that finances will balance.


June Fukumura

June is entering her third year at SFU as a Theatre Performance Major and a hopes to Minor in Sustainability and Development this fall. Besides theatre, June loves humanitarian work, traveling, and Neapolitan ice cream . She is looking forward to being an exciting new addition to this hard working team!

 Forum Representative


The FORUM REPRESENTATIVE shall act as the liaison between the Union and the SFSS Student Forum, while carrying out his/her duties under the SFSS Constitution.
